General Information

In 1985, the Department of Pediatrics of the Tehran University of Medical Sciences organized a series of conferences to elevate the level of knowledge of practicing doctors in pediatrics. A few speakers from abroad were invited for these conferences. The great success of these conferences brought up the idea of organizing a pediatric congress with international contribution. Since then an annually International Congress of Pediatrics is held in Tehran with participation of renown specialists from all over the world which serves as a fruitful source of interchange of knowledge and collegial relationship between pediatricians irrespective of the political borders and ideologies.

Congress Venue

The Congress site is located at the city center of Tehran, to be reached from any part of the city by bus, taxis and Metro.

Language

The official language of the Conference will be English and Farsi. Simultaneous translation for either language is available.

Weather

In October the weather in Tehran is mild and sunny, temperatures being between 22-24ºC. Informal clothing for receptions and social events is foreseen. Ladies are requested to wear a head kerchief.

Visas

Visa and other governmental papers will be arranged through the Conference after the registration is finalized.
